I need a good mope. I'm going to have a hot bath and play some moping music very loudly.

Leeds festival ... three days and nights in a tent. The festival was great, even better than I'd expected. The weather couldn't have been better and the music was loud. OK, there were some negatives; for instance, standing in a big patch of mud with it oozing between my toes only to realise that it hadn't rained and that the mud was around 40% piss. The toilets too .. they were basic, but they needed to be seen to believed. And they worsened as time went on. I was impressed with 'the darkness', 'black rebel motorcycle club', 'the datsuns', and 'blur'. There were others, but I'm too tired to type more about it. Even metallica were good, although they're not exactly my kind of thing. We left our little tent behind ... it passed away through the night so we gave it a viking funeral before we left this morning. A lot of other people had the same idea, but most of their tent fires involved gas cannister explosions too. The whole picture was a little surreal ... it reminded us of a refugee camp. I'm tired and am about to fall asleep on this keyboard. And, anyway, my insect bites are starting to itch. Sleep now ... 'night.Sunday 10 August 2003
Apart from the stunning scenery around Prague and the cheap beer, memorable moments include:
- getting drunk on bacardi on the train to London
- a power crazy bus driver
- going into a topless bar and not even noticing the girl sitting next to me at the bar
- getting locked in a bar at 1am and talking to barmen dressed in pyjamas and who didn't speak english
- stealing beer mats and a beer glass
Basically, it was damn good.
