Kitchen

The kitchen is shaping up pretty well.

I should probably do something with the fireplace though.

I had a relaxing bath this evening. With the radio playing and a candle lit. It was all rather nice.

Well, the light switch is broken.

The old kitchen table, originally salvaged from my daughter’s garden a decade or so ago, has reached the end of its natural, second, life.

To be replaced by a more practical, smaller new table.

I’ve not been very well this week. I wasn’t last week either, but chimney muck this week probably hasn’t helped.

Today involved soot. And other muck. Lots of it.

We now have two lined chimneys. And some residual muck.

Ridge tiles are being replaced tomorrow. Which won’t involve (as much) dirt.

I have to say that I’m happy with my tiling efforts.

Of course, I still need to grout. I’ve been replacing architrave today, ready for panelling, so grouting may happen tomorrow.

Tomorrow will also involve new chimney liners. I may be stressed about such things.

I’ve still a little tiling to do this morning, and grouting later, but I’m content with the outcome of yesterday’s night on the tiles.

I made a new door for the passage; quite happy with it.

I do believe that my plastering skills are improving. The wall I plastered yesterday is drying out really well.

And today’s isn’t bad.

Thankfully, that’s the last of the plastering though.

Time to start work on the kitchen.
