I do believe that my plastering skills are improving. The wall I plastered yesterday is drying out really well.
And today’s isn’t bad.
Thankfully, that’s the last of the plastering though.
Our annual mortgage statement arrived yesterday. In just a year and a half we shall be mortgage free. No, 18 months. That sounds closer.
Or bang. I was woken from a very nice, snug, sleep a few hours ago, by a noise. I wasn’t sure exactly what I’d heard, but I knew it’d been loud. My second in command I bravely investigated in darkness (the power had gone off) and found that the (bargain) charger I’d bought on ebay had exploded. Maybe it wasn’t such a bargain after all.
From a square foot perspective, the bathroom’s been my longest ever decorating project. It’s a tiny room, but there’s hardly an inch that hasn’t changed. I do concede that my frequent lack of motivation has delayed things quite a lota little, and it’s important not to neglect one’s social calendar.
But it’s almost finished now.
Valspar. They make spray paint. I usually buy Halfords’ or Plastikote (preferred), but B&Q seem to have switched to Valspar spray paints. I’ve heard of the brand name, but I’d not associated it with aerosol paint.
It seems to work ok, although I wouldn’t have needed to buy the stuff if B&Q had the right colour bits in stock.
This is probably my best, most useful, purchase ever.
I plan to buy more for other rooms in the house. This one was being trialled.
Another best purchase is my newest pair of glasses, my third pair in a couple of weeks. While my other new glasses are very nice, possibly even fashionable, I really love my new old 1930s gold rimmed specs. I may buy more.
